Paranormal Activity Caught On Tape

We were told that there has been some strange activity at Oak Grove Cemetary where the infamous Lizzie Borden was burried after the gruesome murders of the original owner Andrew J. Borden and his second wife Abby Borden on August 4, 1892. Andrew's youngest daughter Lizzie was accused and acquitted of the crime, but the community never believed the verdict. The fully renovated and restored home is now a bed and breakfast dedicated to the legend of Lizzie Borden and the history of Fall River.
So we decided to go check it out!

Waterfire Providence

Barnaby Evans WaterFire® is an artwork involving movement, participation and surprise. When visitors encounter WaterFire, they cannot absorb the sculpture from just their sense of sight or even from a single vantage point — they must walk through the installation and they must use all five of their senses. WaterFire is full of motion — throughout the night the firetenders stoke the fires, the boats move past the flames, the rivers flow quietly beneath the braziers, and the flickering flames reflect off the dark surface of the water animating the architectural fabric of the city.

Failed Bird Crash Landing

I was hanging out with Pops REcording some footage for http://www.youtube.com/scenicvideos when we realized the birds were a little nutty, after seeing one bird dive in the water after landing we were hoping to see another, and sure enough this little fellow came through like a champ. As you can see at the end the bird was not hurt.

The bird is known as a Cormorant. The Cormorants are a fairly large family of fisheaters residing along freshwater and saltwater shores around the world, yet all are so closely related that all are usually placed within a single genus Phalacrocorax. Despite spending much time in the water, they do not possess the waterproofing oil of other seabirds and so must spend much time drying their wings. That's what the Crowned Cormorant at Cape Town, South Africa, is doing (left).

Cormorants are found almost everywhere that water meets shore. They use traditional sites for roosting, sunning, and nesting. These tend to be on islets, jetties, docks, or drowned trees with a 360 degree view to avoid predators. Cormorants are often easy to see, but they can be quite difficult to approach.

Swine Flu Hits Zoo

Is this all media hype or a true hazard that we should be worried about?

Right now, it seems like it may be a little bit of both. Swine flu is definitely a hazard, but more because of the concern about what this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus may do. Will it become a pandemic strain that can cause a global disease outbreak? Or will we just continue to see sporadic cases for a few weeks or months until it stops?

At this time it is impossible to predict what is going to happen with swine flu, but one thing is clear - panic, and fear is being driven by the media.

Name that Fish Game

the way to play is simple. When you see a fish you reconize just type in the comments section the time you saw the fish, what area on the video you see it (because there are more then one fish on screen at a time) and the type of fish it is.

Example you see a tuna at 3:10, simply type 3:10 Tuna bottom right of the video.

How many species of fish can you name?

Have fun and tell your friends!
